Ergonomic Interventions
RELIEVE + RESTORE + REVIVE
Ergonomics involves designing the environments your body interacts with in a way that optimizes your health. The intention is to prevent new injuries or exacerbate old injuries by limiting harmful exposures and improper body postures. Ergonomic interventions can be applied to everything from work stations to sleeping conditions to automobile usage. Everyone is most familiar with ergonomics in the sense of computer or desk usage. However, every job requires different tasks, equipment, body positions and physical demands that require specific interventions for the individual performing that specific job. Furthermore, every “body” is slightly different in size and shape or may have specific limitations that require unique ergonomic interventions for the tasks it needs to perform. Identifying personal habits and activities that may be contributing to your pain is pertinent to creating and maintaining new healthy habits and ergonomic surroundings.
